Do you have a middle schooler or high schooler in your home or classroom? Are you in a Suddenlink/Optimum service area? If so, be sure to check out the annual Hispanic Heritage Month essay contest from Suddenlink's owner, Altice USA.
Students must write an essay in English of 500 words or less describing "those (of Hispanic heritage) who are making connections in their communities." The grand prize is a $3,000 scholarship. Three finalists will win an iPad.
Essays should be typed and double-spaced. The deadline is October 31st.
