Did you know that more than 20 unpublished poems by Pablo Neruda have been found? His publisher says the discovery amounts to 'a literary event of universal significance!' They were found among his papers in his native Chile.
The late Nobel laureate led such a colorful life and there are several children's books that have been published describing it. You might remember this little review I did of Pablo Neruda: Poet of the People by Monica Brown.
At any rate, I thought now would be a great time to publish another compilation of lesson plans, activities, videos, books, and more of this remarkable poet. I was surprised at how few I could actually find. (Someone needs to remedy this, no?) So below, is a list of some of the great resources I was able to find online. I'll be updating it as I come across new materials.

- BookRags has a more comprehensive lesson plan that is best suited for kids in 7th through 12th grades.
- Poets.org also offers this lesson plan geared for students in middle and high school titled Teach This Poem: "Ode to My Socks" by Pablo Neruda.
- BookRags also has a fully customizable lesson plan for 7th - 12th - you can download a sample of it
