I take the protection of your personal data very seriously. I treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. This privacy policy explains how MommyMaestra uses and protects any information that you give us when you use my website, www.mommymaestra.com, subscribe to my newsletter, and contact me. The use of MommyMaestra.com is usually possible without providing personal information. I use Blogger and WordPress to manage my site and they do collect a small amount of data including what country you live in, what browser and operating system you use to visit my site. To my knowledge, I do not have access to your name or any other personal information.
There may be times when you share your name and your contact information with us, such as when you enter one of my giveaways, subscribe to my newsletter, leave a comment on a post or write to me through our contact page. Any information I collect from you might be used for internal record keeping, to improve our website, to send you newsletters or emails of content that I feel will be of interest or to send you prizes or promotions. The information I collect from you will never be shared with a third party without your express consent unless I am required to do so by law.
Please note that data transmission over the Internet (for example, when communicating via e-mail) may have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of the data from access by third parties is not possible.

- used operating system
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. A merge of this data with other data sources will not be done. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications for illegal use.
PERSONAL INFORMATION THAT THIS WEBSITE COLLECTS AND WHY WE COLLECT IT
Site visitation tracking
This site uses StatCounter to track user interaction. I use this data to determine the number of people using my site, to better understand how they find and use my web pages, and to see their journey through the website.
Although StatCounter records data such as your geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of this information personally identifies you to me. It also records your computer’s IP address which could be used to personally identify you, but StatCounter does not grant me access to this. We consider StatCounter to be a third party data processor.
StatCounter uses so-called “cookies.” These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a StatCounter server in the USA and stored there. Disabling cookies on your internet browser will stop StatCounter from tracking any part of your visit to pages on this website.
My Blog
Should you choose to add a comment to any posts that I have published on my blog, the name and email address you enter with your comment will be saved to this website’s database, along with your computer’s IP address and the time and date that you submitted the comment. This information is only used to identify you as a contributor to the comment section of the respective blog post and is not passed on to any of the third party data processors detailed below. Only your name will be shown on the public-facing website although if the supplied email address is linked to a Gravatar account, your Gravatar photo will also be displayed.
Your comment and its associated personal data will remain on this site until we see fit to either 1.) remove the comment or 2.) remove the blog post. Should you wish to have the comment and it’s associated personal data deleted, please email us here using the email address that you commented with.
If you are under 16 years of age you MUST obtain parental consent before posting a comment on our blog.
NOTE: You should avoid entering personally identifiable information to the actual comment field of any blog post comments that you submit on this website.
Contact form
If you send me inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored in order to process the request and in case of follow-up questions. I will not share this information without your consent and it will not be passed on or processed by any of the third party data processors.
Instead, the data will be collated into an email and sent to me over the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Our SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) meaning that the email content is encrypted using SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography before being sent across the internet. The email content is then decrypted by our local computers and devices.
Email newsletter
If you choose to join my email newsletter, the email address that you submit to me will be forwarded to MailChimp (The Rocket Science Group, LLC) who provide me with email marketing services. I consider MailChimp to be a third party data processor. The email address that you submit will not be stored within this website’s own database or in any of my internal computer systems.
Your email address will remain within MailChimp's database for as long as I continue to use MailChimp’s services for email marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can do this by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe links contained in any email newsletters that I send you or by requesting removal via email. When requesting removal via email, please send your email to me using the email account that is subscribed to the mailing list.
If you are under 16 years of age you MUST obtain parental consent before joining my email newsletter.
While your email address remains within the MailChimp database, you will receive periodic (approximately once per month) newsletter-style emails from me.
Personal Data collected: email address, first name and last name.
Place of processing: United States – Privacy Policy. Privacy Shield participant.

Facebook plugins (like button)
On my pages are integrated plugins of the social network Facebook, provider Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. The Facebook plugins can be recognized by the Facebook logo or the “Like-Button” (“Like”) on my site. We point out that we as the provider of the pages are not aware of the content of the data transmitted and their use by Facebook. For more information, see the Facebook Privacy Policy at https://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php.
If you do not wish Facebook to associate your visit to our pages with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking on the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate the visit to our pages with your user account. We point out that we as the provider of the pages are not aware of the content of the transmitted data and their use by Instagram.
For more information, see the Instagram Privacy Policy: https://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/
